2010 Eurasia Meeting of the Emerging Markets Forum, January 23-25, 2010 Thun, Switzerland
The first Eurasia Emerging Markets Forum took place from 23 to 25 January 2010 in Thun, near Bern, in Switzerland.
The Forum was jointly chaired by Joseph Deiss, Former President of the Swiss Confederation, Switzerland, Michel Camdessus, Governor, Emeritus, Banque de France and Former Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and, Grigori A. Marchenko, Governor of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Forum aimed to follow the structure of the Eurasia Emerging Markets Forum Inaugural Meeting which was held in January 2009 at the Study Center of the Swiss National Bank in Gerzensee, Switzerland. It was a closed door meeting which was limited to about 50–55 participants in order to facilitate frank and open exchanges of ideas.
